Please note that this tour does not take place in Casablanca. You can come a day early in order to explore Casablanca and visit the spectacular Hassan II Mosque. Accommodation: Hotel Campanile or similar

Start early and drive through the rolling hills to Meknas for a guided visit to Meknes. Here, you will have lunch and continue to Volubilis for an afternoon guided tour of the best-preserved Roman ruins in this part of Northern Africa, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Afterward, continue to Fes for an overnight stay and get ready to explore The Medina of Fez the following day.

5 hours of driving
Accommodation: Hotel Mounia or similar

After your breakfast, follow the local guide who knows the streets of old Medina by heart. Stop at one of the ancient tanneries and take in the view from above. Enjoy a half-day medina walking tour, with free time in the afternoon to explore more of the city. Visit one of the Quranic schools in the old Medina. Explore the artisan quarters, sample treats from the carts, and view Fes’s famous leather tannery from above.

Accommodation: Riad El Madina Al Kadima or similar

Today is a long drive through the Middle and High Atlas Mountains. End your day with camel riding for an hour and a half to your camp. After a long day driving from Fes, you will arrive at Merzouga, where you will meet your camels and ride them for around 80 minutes to the deep dunes for an overnight stay. The local guides will teach you how to play some drums, followed by story time in the evening. Dinner will be served under the stars.

8–9 hours of driving

Rise early to mount our trusty camels and watch the sunrise before returning to Merzouga for your warm breakfast. Continue driving to Todra Gorges for a short walk through the Berber villages and visit the deepest Gorges in North Africa.

Travel along the route of 1000 Kasbahs and cross Ouarzazate City, the home of the Atlas Studios, where many films have been shot over the years, including Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator. Drive to Ait Benhaddou Kasbah for a guided tour and before crossing the high Atlas Mountains to Marrakesh. Tour the UNESCO World Heritage Site and Kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou with your tour leader. Of all the remaining Kasbahs in Morocco, the walls and interior of this area are the most intact. The Kasbah still houses a few families, but many now live in the adjacent village. Like many of the earthen-built fortresses in Ouarzazate, Aït Ben Haddou has been used in many film and television productions, like Gladiator, Babel, and Game of Thrones.
