Day 2
Marrakech – Imlil 1740m – Tachdirt 2300m
⦁ You will be driven from Marrakech to Imlil, where your trekking team will meet you. After introductions and a cup or two of refreshing Berber tea, you will trek from 1740m to Tizi n’Tamatert at 2280m; the journey will take about 2½ hours. At the top of the pass, you will be served lunch overlooking the stunning Imnan Valley. The walk then continues to Ounskra (2200m), where, after 5 hours in all, you will spend the night.
Day 3
Tachdirt 2300m – Tizi N’likemt 3600m – Azib Likemt
After a sumptuous breakfast, you will continue to Tizi n’Likmet (3600m), with views of both the Imnan and Aouray Valleys. From there, it’s on to Azib Likmet, where you will camp—there are no guest houses here. Hopefully, the sky will be clear during the night, so you can stargaze to your heart’s content.
Day 4
Azib Likemt – Amsouzazrt 1800m
⦁ After breakfast, we will go to Aouray Valley in order to reach Amsouzart to spend the night in a gîte. This is your chance to get some rest and see the Berber villages, coming back in time to drink tea before dinner.
Approx 6 hours of walking
Day 5
Amsouzart 1800m – Ifni lac
⦁ We walk from Amsouzart to Lake Ifni, which is truly beautiful, situated in the midst of the rocky mountains and giant rock outcrops. Swimming is fine, though you are not encouraged to go to the middle of the lake, as it is very deep. We camp again for the night.
Approx 4 hours of walking
Day 6
Ifni Lac – Tizi Ounoums 3600m – Toubkal Refuge 3207m
Breakfast is followed by a walk to Tizi Ounoms (3600m) and descending from there to the Toubkal refuge for the last night. Dinner here will be early so that you can go to bed early in preparation for the long day tomorrow.
Approx 6 hours of walking
Day 7
Toubkal Refuge – Toubkal summit 4167m – Imlil – Marrakech
⦁ After an early warm breakfast, you will climb to the summit of Toubkal at 4167m. It will be worth it – you will have the spread of both the High Atlas Mountains and the Sahara desert in front of you. We will return to the refuge for lunch, and head down to the Imlil starting point, from where you will be driven back to Marrakech.

A great trip with the best guides and group! Felt well looked after, we all summited without issues and was very well fed the entire trip. Loved it even more than I thought I would!

The Mount Toubkal trek was a challenging and rewarding experience. Our guide Husain was friendly and well organised and led our team safely to the top and back down with enthusiasm and patience. If you want a physical challenge with a great team then this trek is for you. Take warm clothes for the top including good gloves and a hat as it’s very chilly when you set off at 3:30am! Surreal climb in the dark to the ridge but then the sunset over the amazing mountains and all of Africa laid out before you makes it all worth while. Be prepared for the effects of altitude and a long summit day with the descent back down to Aroumd. Loved it! Thankyou Hussain, Mustafa and the fabulous chefs !

This was my first time joining a tour group when travelling and it was a great experience. Everything was very well organised, everyone was kind and helpful, we were extremely well cared for and catered to & the hike itself was the ‘just right’ challenge in that it was tough at times (mainly summit day) but definitely achievable.
Such a wonderful week in the Atlas mountains and Berber villages.

What an amazing trip. From Marrakech to the Atlas Mountains, everything included in this tour was great. Some lovely hikes, plenty of rest time, delicious Moroccan food and a very caring guide Mohammad who safely got us all to the top of Mount Toubkal. This trip was so much more than I thought it would be. The accommodations we stayed at were much better than I expected, especially the mountain refuge. I enjoyed the Atlas Mountains so much that I would even consider to book this tour again,
Thank you Omar and your team.

I thoroughly enjoyed my trek up Jebel Toubkal. The holiday was everything it promised to be. The level of effort needed to get to the top was considerable but not impossible. Our guide was very knowledgeable, and the muleteers were very helpful and excellent…..

The whole experience: the other people and our guides made it great. Tough climb with the thin air, but definitely worth it!

Hiking Mt Toubkal is a good challenge. Great views and not technical . Good fitness is required. The locals selling fresh squeezed orange juice is very nice at lots of places along track. Nice climate in March.

Incredible memorable experience with the entire group. Hamid is a stand out person and has become a good friend. I would like the option to summit Toubkal earlier as we missed sunrise due to the pace of the elderly walkers in the group.
